I have also learned from Lorri to get experiences in different industries so I'm well rounded.

Lorri has been an encouragement because she is someone I can talk to and know that she will give me the best that she can. I know that other students that I know feel the same way about Lorri because it's her nature."

“We are very fortunate to have Professor Birkenbuel on our Safety, Health, and Industrial Hygiene team. Her passion for the field of Occupational Safety and Health and her dedication to student success and transformative learning experiences are unparalleled. Lorri is very deserving of this prestigious award”, said Dr. Julie Hart, Safety, Health, and Industrial Hygiene Department Chair.
