About Cody
As an undergraduate student employee, Cody brings an unusual amount of industry experience to CAMP. At Bateman-Hall, Inc., a construction firm in Idaho Falls, Idaho, Cody mastered framing, welding, fitting and electrical work. At Countryside Welding in Kalispell, Montana, Cody was a lead welder, fabricator and safety consultant. As an engineering intern at Nucor Steel in Memphis, Tennessee and Seattle, Washington, Cody focused on metallurgical design, fabrication, and process improvement research, including chemical analysis of slag and tensile testing of rebar. CAMP benefits not only from Cody’s ability to fabricate what the lab needs and quickly master new instrumentation, but also from his passion for metallurgical work, which has resulted in leadership roles in both CAMP’s metallography and mechanical testing labs. Other contributions to CAMP include expanding our CNC mill and lathe capabilities, running mineral processing equipment, and, as an excellent proofreader, reviewing reports.
