Program Overview

The program provides students with the basic information and skills needed to provide care to residents/patients in assisted living/long-term care facilities and acute care settings. Student who successfully complete the course will be prepared for and encouraged to complete the Montana Certified Nurse Aide licensing exam. 

Program is provided by Highlands College of Montana Technological University and is approved by the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services under its Nurse Aide Registry office. Instructor Christine Ketchum, LPN.

  • Theory instruction: face-to-face 50 hours
  • Clinical instruction: 25 hours clinical site

  • To register electronically download the application pdf  and the email the completed signed application to mmorley@mtech.edu or drop it off in person at the Highlands College front office. Electronic Payment can be made here. https://svc.mt.gov/doa/opp/UMMTTechCNA/cart
  • Register in-person – payment is made at the Business Office in the Student Success Center (SSC) on the Montana Tech north campus. Payment Receipt must be included with Registration Form brought to Highlands College Campus.
