Pioneer Technical Donates to Montana Tech

Pioneer Technical Services, Inc., a local engineering and environmental services firm, donated $10,000 to Montana Tech for the Pioneer Technical Services Endowed Scholarship. The scholarship makes a tangible difference for a student by reducing the amount of money they would otherwise need to borrow.

Each year, a sophomore, junior, or senior at Montana Tech is awarded the Pioneer Technical Services Endowed Scholarship. The scholarship recipient must be a graduate from a Montana high school and have a 3.0 GPA.

“I would like to thank Pioneer for their generous gift,” noted Joe McClafferty, Vice Chancellor for Advancement and University Relations and President of the Montana Tech Foundation. “Pioneer is a great partner—their constant support of our university allows students to become innovative, productive teammates who advance industry and the world economies.”

According to Pioneer’s President and CEO Brad Archibald, '87, “We know we can trust Montana Tech to provide the excellent education and top-level graduates that are the foundation of Pioneer’s success. Currently, Pioneer employs 71 Montana Tech graduates and we intend to hire more. We are proud to make this contribution to help assure Montana Tech, its students, and Pioneer will continue to succeed.”

Pioneer is an employee-owned firm with offices across Montana. For more information on this Endowed Scholarship, please contact the Montana Tech Foundation at 406-496-4278.
