Dr. Skinner to provide a seminar and journal article at the 2015 SPIE Optics + Photonics Meeting

Dr. Jack Skinner, Assistant Professor in the General Engineering Department, has been invited to provide a seminar and submit a journal article on his research lab’s work on nanotechnology-based materials and devices at the 2015 SPIE Optics + Photonics Meeting in San Diego during August. His presentation is entitled “Using electric field manipulation to fabricate nanoscale fibers on large areas: A path to electronic and photonic devices.” Multiple students have contributed to this research ranging from B.S. to Ph.D. students spanning multiple disciplines at Montana Tech.

SPIE Optics + Photonics, with nearly 5000 attendees, is the largest international multidisciplinary optical sciences and technology meeting in North America. Dr. Skinner’s work will be featured in the NanoScience and Engineering Conference within SPIE Optics + Photonics.
