Biography

Originally from Helena, Doug graduated from Montana Tech with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. He then attended the University of Montana where he earned his Masters of Business Administration. He earned his Doctorate in Educational Leadership at UM while he was working at Montana Tech. His Doctoral Dissertation focused on the use of Artificial Intelligence to predict college choice by Montana High School football players.

Doug was one of the original founding members of the Mining City Little Guy Football Program and served on its Board of Directors for 10 years. He also served on the Board of Directors for United Way and the Butte Local Development Corporation (BLDC). Doug enjoys golf, water skiing, camping and hanging out with his daughter (Gwenn), son (Dunk) and wife of 35 years, Mary.
