As the 13th Chancellor, Dr. MacLean brings a breadth of experience to his role. His background as a petroleum geologist, environmental scientist, geology professor, and executive administrator provides a powerful blend of industry insight and academic vision.
The Cabinet comprises senior administrators from across the university. The team considers, analyzes, and acts upon a variety of issues pertaining to the overall day-to-day happenings as well as long-term planning, policies and procedures, and items of strategic importance.
The Deans’ Council brings together the Montana Tech provost, academic deans, student success, admissions, and enrollment leaders for weekly meetings focused on teaching, strategy, scholarly activity, policy, and issues regarding the University’s four schools and colleges.
