Biography
Dr. Kiyo Fujimoto is a staff scientist at Idaho National Laboratory whose research focuses on additive manufacturing, advanced sensors, and instrumentation for extreme and harsh environments, including nuclear energy systems. She earned her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Boise State University, where her work centered on additively manufactured sensors for high-temperature and radiation-rich environments. Her research spans printed and aerosol-jet based sensor technologies, structural health monitoring, and nanomaterial-enabled devices, developed in collaboration with national laboratories, universities, and industry partners.
She also contributes to national STEM initiatives and advisory efforts aimed at strengthening education and workforce development in science and engineering.
