Montana Tech Band Presents Free Holiday Concert Friday

The Montana Tech Band’s Annual Christmas Concert is Friday, December 4th at 7:00 pm in the Mother Lode Theatre. This concert is free and the public is cordially invited. 

Selections include traditional holiday music such as Silent Night, A Christmas Auld Lang Syne, Tidings of Comfort and Joy and Candlelight Carol.  The tempo changes with Mariah Carey’s All I want for Christmas is You,  Pacem Noel, A Carmen Christmas, and Winterfest. Pacem Noel is a blend of the famous canon Dona Nobis Pacem and the First Noel. A Carman Christmas is a mix of the opera Carmen and several Christmas Carols. Winterfest blends Jingle Bells with folk music from Scandinavia.

The Montana Tech Band has thirty members and is directed by Dr. Peter Knudsen. This concert is free and is sponsored by the Mother Lode Theatre.
