Montana Tech to Host 17th Annual Career Fair

The 17th Annual Montana Tech Career Fair will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 in the Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER) Complex. Open to current students and alumni, the fair runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. “This event is a real opportunity for students across a wide variety of majors to explore internships, summer jobs and full-time employment,” said Career Services Director Sarah Raymond. Due to an exceptional education and strong work ethic, Montana Tech students continue to be highly recruited by various companies from across the country. Recruiters attending the career fair will be representing a variety of businesses, engineering firms, and military groups.

“The key to your career is to build your network now! I went into my first Career Fair with zero degree-related experience but because of my education and positive attitude, I came out with three offers. One of them being from the world’s largest independent exploration and production company. Two Montana Tech Career Fairs have led me to two invaluable internships. No matter your age or past work experience, everyone should attend the Career Fair.” Kim K. (Occupational Safety & Health)

Students and alumni interested in participating are encouraged to pre-register ahead of time for the career fair through DIGGERecruiting. It is important to update profile information including: major, GPA, year in school, and anticipated graduation date because recruiting announcements, information sessions, job postings, workshops, and a wide variety of other events are communicated throughout the year in DIGGERecruiting. “We don’t want students to miss out on any information that would help them in their career planning or job search,” said Raymond.

Students can find additional information at www.mtech.edu/career/students. Montana Tech alumni can find the details at www.mtech.edu/career/alumni and request to sign up for DIGGERecruiting. Please contact Career Services at 406.496.4140 with any questions.
