Film Screening and Discussion Series with Dr. Henry Gonshak

The Butte-Silver Bow Public Library will host Montana Tech professor, Henry Gonshak, in a film screening and discussion series based on his book: Hollywood and the Holocaust.

Each week a film will be shown and then then Professor Gonshak will lead a general discussion about the movie. The events will take place at the Butte-Silver Bow Public Library, 3rd floor of the Uptown Branch from 5:30 – 8:00 pm.

April 19: Sophie’s Choice
April 26: The Grey Zone
May 3: Defiance

This week’s movie, “Sophie’s Choice,” is about a Christian Holocaust survivor who develops a complex, troubled relationship with an American Jew in post-war Brooklyn. Based on the William Styron novel.
