Montana Tech Hosts Camp to Prepare Next Generation of Health Care Professionals

23 students from across Montana will attend MedStart Summer Camp in Butte hosted at Montana Tech – July 23rd – 27th. MedStart is a 5-day summer program aimed at developing the next generation of health care providers. Hosted by the Montana AHEC (Areas Health Education Center), MedStart Camp immerses students in campus life while providing opportunities to explore a variety of health care careers through simulation activities and job shadows at St. James Healthcare and other local facilities. In addition, students also attend college planning sessions to map out their career goals.

MedStart Camps are hosted during the summer in Missoula, Great Falls, Butte, Billings and Miles City. More than 100 students were selected to participate in the camps following a rigorous application and recommendation process.
