Montana Tech Judo Club brings home multiple awards from Fujiwara Memorial Tournament

Montana Technological University’s Judo Club competed at the Fujiwara Memorial Judo Tournament on April 19 in Billings.

The tournament featured more than 100 competitors from Montana and Wyoming. Montana Tech participants included Jade Uriarte, Gavin Rahl, Katie Banks, Simon Ceaichovschi, and Francisco Xavier Victoria Luna Estatuet.

Several students placed in their divisions. Uriarte earned second place in the women’s lightweight division. Rahl placed third in the men’s heavyweight black belt division. Ceaichovschi earned second place in the men’s lightweight brown belt division and third place in the men’s middleweight black belt division.
