Dr. John Morrison Issued a Patent, "Crosstalk compensation in analysis of energy storage devices"

Dr. John Morrison, professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at Montana Tech, and David Rose, Montana Tech electrical engineering alumnus (BS ’09, MS ’11) were awarded a US patent (US 8762109 B2) entitled, “Crosstalk compensation in analysis of energy storage devices.”  The technology is used to predict in near real-time the effective health of chemical energy-storage devices such as batteries, fuel cells, and ultracapacitors operating in-situ.  Potential applications includes electric vehicles as well as many military and space applications.  For more information, please see http://patents.justia.com/inventor/john-l-morrison.
