Dr. Trudnowski's Conference Paper Selected as Best of the Best

Montana Tech Electrical Engineering department head and professor, Dr. Dan Trudnowski, has had his paper entitled, PDCI Damping Control Analysis for the Western North American Power System, selected as one of four “Best of the Best” Conference Papers submitted to the 2013 Power & Energy Society (PES) General Meeting, on the basis of technical merit and presentation quality.

The paper was selected as a Best Conference Paper by the Power System Dynamic Performance Committee. Dr. Trudnowski co-authored the paper with Dmitry Kosterev and John Undrill.

Of the 1600 papers submitted for the General Meeting, the technical committees selected 69 Conference papers as the Best Conference Papers submitted to their respective committees. During the four presentation sessions of those selected papers, judges selected one paper from each session as the “Best-of-the Best” Conference Papers. Trudnowski was recognized during the General Meeting Poster Session and was also announced at the General Meeting Awards Dinner.
