Montana Tech Business Club Attends International Career Development Conference in DC

Montana Tech’s Business Club attended the International Career Development Conference recently in Washington D.C. The prestigious event brought together chapters of the Collegiate Distributive Educational Clubs of America (DECA) from all over the world. DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.

Montana Tech was represented by three Business & Information Technology students, Coner Dolan, Austin Sisson, and Justin Dauenhaur, and advisor and Business Department associate professor, Lance Revenaugh.

“The DECA competition was an excellent experience for the students,” noted Revenaugh. “There were over 1300 students from across the country competing in a professional environment. In addition, many corporate sponsors including Marriott and Walgreens were in attendance. Conor, Justin, and Austin competed well and represented Montana Tech admirably.”

Sisson, the Montana Collegiate President, and Dolan competed in Accounting Applications, and Dauenhaur competed in Human Resource Management. The Montana Tech students were the first Montana Representatives from the only collegiate chapter in Montana.
