October is Disability Awareness Month, and the Office of Disability Services is sponsoring a film telling the story of one family's 35-year journey with Prader-Willi Syndrome. This genetic condition, which causes insatiable appetite paired with very low metabolism (among other issues), is rare, but is still the most common genetic cause for childhood obesity and is life-changing for the entire family. Join us on October 24 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Montana Tech Auditorium for the film and a Q&A with the family who made the film and a local family with a son with the same disorder. You can view a trailer of the film on Facebook: The Life You're Given.
