Review and edit:

  • Carefully proof-read and review your patent application for any errors, inconsistencies, or unclear language.
  • Edit the document to improve clarity, remove unnecessary repetitions, and ensure logical flow.

Prepare and compile the following additional information:

  • Provisional patent filing receipt, and invention disclosure.
  • Other supporting documents that will assist the patent attorney in drafting the application, e.g. manuscripts, powerpoint presentations, drawings or diagrams, and experimental data.
  • Upcoming Disclosures: Are there any upcoming public disclosures of this subject matter that we should be aware of? Public disclosures before filing an application can affect patentability. Public disclosures include, for example, publication of a manuscript, discussion or presentation at a conference (e.g., in meetings, abstracts, posters), or selling or offering to sell the invention.
