Desk Assistant
The desk assistant position consists of working a minimum of six hours per week. General work responsibilities include facilitating student check-in/check-out process, answering the telephone, monitoring the ACE email account, appointment scheduling, giving presentations about ACE’s services and any other duties that might arise.
Desk assistants must maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 and a full-time academic status (12 credit hours) throughout the entire semester to be considered in good academic standing and continue in the position. Training and orientation will be provided to prepare students for this position. The salary for this position is $9.50/hour.

Subject Tutor
A tutor position consists of working a minimum of four hours per week. General work responsibilities include facilitating student learning, holding review sessions, assisting faculty with review sessions, giving presentations about ACE’s services and any other duties that might arise.
Tutors must maintain an overall GPA of 3.2 and a full-time academic status (12 credit hours) throughout the entire semester to be considered in good academic standing and continue in the position. Tutors must receive a B+ or better in the course they would like to tutor. Math tutors must successfully pass a math exam before being considered. Training and orientation will be provided to prepare students for this position. The staring salary for this position is $9.50/hour with opportunities for raises depending on years of experience and number of subjects tutored.
Writing Consultant
A writing consultant position consists of working a minimum of four hours per week. General work responsibilities include working one-on-one with a student on issues specific to their own particular development. As a consultant you will not simply proofread or edit documents. Rather, you will assist students to become better proofreaders and editors of their own work. You will also help students understand how to format and organize their written work.
Consultants must maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 and a full-time academic status (12 credit hours) throughout the entire semester to be considered in good academic standing and continue in the position. Writing consultants must receive a B+ or better in the course they would like to tutor. Consultants will also be responsible for giving presentations about ACE’s services and any other duties that might arise. Training and orientation will be provided to prepare students for this position. The staring salary for this position is $9.50/hour with opportunities for raises.

Graduate Assistant Tutor Coordinator
This position consists of working 20hrs/per week and includes a tuition waiver. Graduate students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits but 9 credits is preferred. General Work Responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, and training all undergraduate staff ( ~36 per semester), delivering all tutor training following CRLA curriculum, conducting regular tutor observations and providing feedback for improvement, managing the tutor-appointment software, developing promotional materials for ACE, giving presentations about ACE services and Academic Success, and any other duties that arise.
